last week we got some awesome workshop in the University of Applied Arts, a workshop with cross disciplinar experience. industrial design, transportation design, fashion design and visual communication worked together in teams on infographics about happiness. i worked together with my mate julian winckler. we decided to take the knowledge of the book: “Glück. The world book of happiness.” and created something like “the way to happiness”. we collected all advices to get your happiness and put it into a circular infographic. It has four sections, the bigger the distance of the section to the middle, the lower are the struggle to reach your target. in the strongest section around the core, it is very important to get your mental targets done. so you can reach happiness really close with this infographic, but we decided to do not show the way of absolute happiness, because we thought happiness is an individual thing.

thanks julian (industrial design) for this great project, it was fun!

i’ll give a little sneak about the guerilla gardening project we got at the university. it cares about grey and boring places in the streets of pforzheim, we’d love to motivate all those inactive people to garden in public space. the character of our organisation in fiction is the guerilla thing we don’t wan’t to be cute or legal, we want to be rude and against, like the flower revolution in the end of the 60′s, but in an modern way. the process continues…

I had told you lately about that design competition for an EP of the rockband “Fathead”. Annoying! My designvisions won the pitch. Stressful, however, the task of creating a booklet, including the usual problems, within a week, was really hard. Here are the preliminary showroom images, I get the pressed CD in round about 14 days.

hello everybody,

I’ll travel with the university of applied design to netherland. we’re gonna see there a few agencies and offices, but also look at design museums. among other things, I am particularly pleased to underwear, and the two groups from den haag and Lucerne, Switzerland. Currently, preparations are in full swing to make a good figure in the Netherlands. we’re about to produce a trash movie about pforzheim to communicate a bit of the atmosphere in our city.

I got a short project for fathead. they’re making rock music and the singer Ben Baumann, wanted me to create some album art, for their iTunes music shop. the task was to design something beautiful for fathead, nothing else. for the little time laps we spend on it, we think this is showable… if it wins the small pitch we would recognize you.

we’ve got the task to illustrate/photograph an object of our own choice and some kind of action. My selection was an raincoat. i thought about all the abstract posibilities to display that macintosh in a cryptic way. Reduced on the reflections of light, may the spectator have to spend another secound look at the pictures. A major part of this work is the action, wich happens in the head of every spectator. Combined studio and outdoor photos give a good contrast in view.

One emotional project from the second semester under the care of Prof. Alice Chi. A tribute to the Futura in the character of a designer. On a personal level, i like to the leave sometimes the beaten tracks to explore new paths. A very valuable project for my personality, which always shows me my own person strongly questioned. My profit out of it was, that i noted a change in my own person, after it. Heart and soul and some encrypted details hide in the work, which opended me some new perspectives. A big thank in advance for your attention.
